The implemented solution achieved a seasonal efficiency of 95%, reduced natural gas consumption to 82,449,000 ft3 per year, delivered annual savings of $295,700, and resulted in a payback period of less than one year.
With the considered alternative solution to install a fourth boiler, the existing boilers would have continued to operate at a seasonal efficiency of 70% (28% less than the Hybrid FLU-ACE), with an annual forecasted natural gas consumption of 112,286,000 ft3 (36% more than the Hybrid FLU-ACE)

An ambitious energy saving program was proposed consisting of a $1,000,000 investment in modernizing our electromechanical systems, in the hopes of saving $300,000 per year on natural gas and electricity. Under this program, we acquired a hybrid direct contact water heater with a capacity of 10,000,000 BTU/hr. This type of water heater contributed greatly to the achievement of our energy saving objectives.
