Our impact to date

So far Thermal Energy International’s energy saving products installed around the world have delivered for our customers an estimated:

$434,206,886
CAD dollars in energy
savings
4,591,798
tonnes of carbon
emissions reductions

Every year, our  energy saving products installed around the world deliver for our customers an estimated:

$62,700,000
in energy savings
560,000 tonnes
carbon emission reductions

Every year the energy saved and emissions reduced by our GEM™ steam traps and FLU-ACE® heat recovery systems installed around the world is equivalent to:
The carbon sequestered by 420,296 acres of forest
The emissions reduced by removing 107,950 cars from the road
The energy used by 46,785 North American homes
The energy produced by burning 2,749 railcars worth of coal
And we are just getting started

Assumptions:
  • Cost of energy assumed to be $5/MMBtu
  • Carbon emission equivalents calculated using US EPA Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator
  • GEM Methodology: CO₂ savings = estimated 6 tonnes of CO₂ saved annually per trap * # traps installed * # of years installed. Energy savings = CO₂ savings / 116 lb. CO₂ per MMBtu
  • HR Methodology: Energy savings = estimated energy savings per hour * 50% boiler capacity factor * years since installation. CO₂ savings = energy savings * 116 lb. CO₂ per MMBtu
